I am NOT going Private!!

Since it seems that lately there have been quite a few people I know that have made their BLOGs private I just wanted to let the 2 or three people that read my blog know that I am NOT going private. I know the danger of internet crazies is real and that there are plenty of perverted maniacs that are searching for their next object of fantasy on the internet but really, of the hundreds of thousands of blogs out there, I am really not too worried that mine is next and as long as I dont leave my name, address and phone number here along with my social security number or my kids identifying information, I am really not all that worried about it. I just wanted to assure you that if you stalk my blog, you are welcomed to continue doing so. Just leave a comment for heaven's sake. It would really help my self-esteem! Thanks!!

Little Devil in Disguise...

Am I really so mean that I will put fairy wings that I came across while going through Paige's things on my son just to get a laugh out of it? (Scroll down for answer!)

HECK YA!! Doesn't he make an adorable fairy?

SURPRISE!!!

So August 5th was my SILs BDay and because my Bro is living in Cali this summer to work poor Jenice was all sad and Lonely on her Bday. So Whitney coerced her down to the local PF Chang's and we were all there waiting for her with a table, balloons, party hats and a cake. i was afraid it would be more of an annoyance than a surprise but she was really surprised and really happy. It was fun and PF Chang's was YUMMY! She was humoring me with the look of shock and awe.

Love the party hats!

Happy Birthday Neecy!!

Who are you and what have you done with my Mother?

I don't know whats going on here but I am pretty sure that every mother in the world will nag and nag and nag at every child about the dangers of motorcycles and how a ride on one is "signing your death certificate"! Well Guess what my mom got? HA!! Well its not a motorcycle but it may as well be.

She says its all about the rising gas prices and trying to make economically sound choices. I think she is trying to attract some super-bad boy tattooed biker dude! Or maybe mid-life crisis? Oh well, I think its pretty cute. Hum, I wonder if they come in pink?? :)

Goodbye Appendix, you will be missed!

I had an interesting week- I am now less a body part. My Appendix!! Who knows what that little sucker is even for but on Thursday I had pains and nausea and fever all day so after about 10 hours of convincing my self that I was just ovulating, although it felt like I was in labor, I finally went to the urgent care. The doc there told me to "GO DIRECTLY TO THE ER- DO NOT PASS GO- DO NOT COLLECT $200"!! So I did it. Even though I felt like baby number four was on the way and wanted to die AND I passed RIGHT by my house and couldn't stop to even get a change of under ware, I drove 20 minutes to the ER that takes my insurance. Thank goodness for cell phones because in that 20 minutes, I arranged pickup for my kids, called my husband and my work because I was pretty sure that it was looking dismal for my chances of being at work the next day.

So Eric and I spent about 5 hours in the ER before I finally got into surgery and the next thing I knew, I was awake in my hospital room and was minus a totally useless organ that apparently was VERY close to bursting. I was sure that it would be an in and out thing and I would be back to work the next day! WRONG!! I was in the hospital for a day and a half on IV antibiotics and feeling like I had been beaten up during surgery. That was the first real surgery I have ever had so it was a little weird to imagine that I was completely unaware for an hour and at the mercy of some dudes with knives and lots of drugs. They took good care of me though and I was certainly glad to be home. I did learn that Morphine does funny things to me. But that's between me and my husband.

Anyhoo, I still feel a little sore and can't lift much for a couple days but I am going back to work on Monday. Am I crazy? Nah. I'm Super Woman!! Unstoppable!! At least when I am not on morpine...

PROOF!! Everything I touch does NOT die!

This summer I have been on a mission to transform my backyard from a pit of despair to a place where beauty and life abound. OK, I really just wanted to see if I could grow something. So here is the photographic evidence and yes these really were taken in my back yard!! ~I LOVE yellow roses and the pink edges make them twice as beautiful!~

~Poppies are not bad to look at either. These ones are little troopers. Nothing seems to kill them.~

~Gerber Daisies, although simple, have always made me think of summertime~

This Monster is not in my backyard but across the street (that's my house in the top right corner). This is the granddaddy of all scary looking weeds. I would hate to fall into that bad boy.
Thank you for humoring me.

Attack of the big fuzzy!

This is a perfect example of how life is with our little Giant. I knew he was in Paiges room when I heard him laughing hysterically. He loves any soft fuzzy blanket and if he can get his hands on one he will hold on and bury his face in and roll around in it. I thought this was so funny.
